Time 2:43 Coach Cameron

If we’re sitting on the couch and watching TV or reading and that sort of stuff, we’re not doing something each day. Set a specific time each day. Whether or not you’ve got arthritis, in the morning it might be harder to get out of bed or you might need to warm up your joints a little bit more. But set a time, say nine o’clock or ten o’clock, in relation to saying, “This is when I’m going to do some exercise.”

Time 3:21 Col

We do major travel about every one and a half years, so you’ve got to be fit. Last year, we were four and a half thousand metres at the top of Bolivia. Even though we were puffing and puffing and puffing, we still knew we were fit.

Time 3:49 Gillian 3:49

I probably moaned twice a week for the first year and a half. Now I don’t moan. I just get ready, but we don’t come until ten o’clock. It means I don’t have to get out of bed at six in the morning to get here at seven in the morning or something like that.

Time 4:00 Col

I told Gillian that she would have to carry her own bags, if she did not have to exercise.

Time 4:39 Faye

I do notice the difference. I know I’m 70, but a lot of the time I don’t feel it especially when I’ve done a really good hill walk and I get to the top and think, “Hmm, that’s not bad for an old girl.”

Time 4:56 Col

As well as coming for the exercise, you come for the community that’s here, the people. You learn what’s happening in their lives and they ask you about what’s in your life. We’re listening to different music. We get a choice of ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s music. Then you go home and feel all the aches and pains in your legs and arms.
